About Pulmonaut
At Pulmonaut we believe... No, we are certain that breath is the bridge between the physical world we experience and the infinite maze that is our consciousness.
A pulmonaut is that person, the one who practices the art of mindful breathing, constantly, deliberately, as a way of moving through life.
This app facilitates the practice. Guided breathwork, breathscapes, breath-hold training and simple stillness, with nothing standing between you and the vastness of the present moment.
What's in the app
You pick a practice and press play. Pulmonaut keeps time, on screen and with a voice, over a soundscape you choose. You do the breathing.
- Today. Pick how you feel or what you want, and get five practices for that moment, with one selected for you at each time of day.
- Breathscapes. 22 practices the app renders live from their timings, from Box and 4-7-8 to Nadi Shodhana.
- Guided sessions. 48 recorded sessions with a voice, in the Focus, Restore, and Sleep collections, Pranayama Ashram, and Apnea Lab.
- Paths. Five programs that build one technique chapter by chapter.
- Explore. Every collection in one place, with breath-hold training in Apnea Lab, yogic breathing in Pranayama Ashram, and four timers, Tummo among them.
- Soundscapes. 11 ambient loops: harmonic drones, binaural drones, and colored noise.
- Emergency breathwork. Three short protocols, in Explore.
- Record and share. Record a breathscape on camera, then share the clip to TikTok, Instagram, and more, or share the session's card.
- Widgets. Your streak on the Home Screen and Lock Screen.
Three practices are free: Box, Coherent, and 4-7-8. A membership opens the rest.
Safety: Breath holds: lie down, face up. Never in or near water. Never alone.
How we build it
Every count comes from the practice's own timings. We measured every soundscape before launch. Two were mislabeled, so we replaced them.
No ads. No account needed. Your practice history stays on your phone.
