support@pulmonaut.app

Pulmonaut is made by one person, and that address reaches him. Replies usually come within two working days. Telling us your iPhone model and the app version, which is at the bottom of Settings in the app, makes a fix much faster.

Most questions have an answer below.

Membership and billing

What is free

Every new install opens with three days of everything, with nothing to buy and nothing to cancel. After that, Box Breathing, Coherent Breathing and 4-7-8 Breathing stay free for good, and Pulmonaut Membership unlocks the rest.

The plans and the trial

The membership is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, sold through Apple's App Store. Both start with three days free. After the trial your Apple Account is charged, and it renews until you cancel. Prices are shown in your own currency on the membership screen.

How to cancel

Apple holds the subscription, so cancelling happens in your Apple Account and takes a few seconds:

Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the term you have already paid for. We cannot cancel a subscription for you, and deleting the app does not cancel it.

Changing plan

Monthly to yearly takes effect immediately. Yearly to monthly takes effect at your next renewal date, and until then the app says so. Both are changed in the same Subscriptions screen.

I paid but the app still asks me to join

Open Settings → Membership → Restore Purchases. That asks Apple for your purchase again and is the fix for a new iPhone, a reinstall, or a purchase that did not land. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account that bought it. If it still does not appear, write to us.

Refunds

Apple takes every payment, so Apple handles every refund. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account that made the purchase.

Your account

Do I need one?

No. Every feature of the app works signed out, and your practice is kept on your phone either way.

My sign-in code has not arrived

The code is six digits and arrives by email within a minute. If it has not: look in your spam folder, check the address you typed, and ask for a new code. Codes expire after a few minutes, so use the most recent one. If nothing arrives at all, write to us from the address you are trying to use.

Deleting your account

In the app, Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. It removes your account and everything stored with it, and it cannot be undone. It does not cancel a subscription, so cancel that first if you have one.

Your practice data

Your history, streaks, breath-hold measurements, personal bests, trophies and favourites are stored on your iPhone and nowhere else. To erase all of it, use Settings → Danger Zone → Delete All Data. The Privacy Policy lists everything the app holds and everything it sends.

Apple Health

With your permission, each session you finish is saved to Health as Mindful Minutes. The app only writes to Health and never reads from it. Turn it on or off in Settings → Health & Integrations, or in the Health app under Sharing. Sessions already saved stay in Health until you delete them there.

Audio and downloads

Guided sessions and soundscapes stream, so they need a connection. To practise offline, download a session from its own screen before you go; downloaded audio plays with no signal at all.

Downloads run on Wi-Fi by default, because sessions and ambient pieces are several megabytes each. To allow them on mobile data, turn off Download Over Wi-Fi Only in Settings → Storage. The same screen shows what you have downloaded and lets you free the space again.

No sound, or sound on the wrong speaker

Every player shows which output it is using. Check the silent switch on the side of your iPhone, the volume while a session is playing, and whether something else, such as AirPods left in a pocket, has taken the audio. Pulmonaut pauses rather than plays on silently when it loses the speaker it was using.

Safety

Pulmonaut is a wellness tool, not medical advice, and breathwork can be dangerous. Never practise breath-holds in or near water, or while driving. Read the safety notes on each practice, and the fuller warning in the Terms of Service, before you start.

Requirements

Pulmonaut runs on iPhone with iOS 18 or later.
